993 RS Speedline wheels refurb....my results!!

I have just got my 993 RS wheels back freshly refurbed by Adrian, a 964 RS owner on this board and PCGB track day regular that some of you know.
I have 2 sets of Speedlines, Adrian only refubed one set so far. Here is a comparison photo of one of my refurbed wheels versus one of my yet-to-be-refurbed wheels:

Here is a close up of the god awful mess that Speedline splitrims end up like after a few years:
But just look at what Adrian has achieved:
Notice the legend, "Speedline for Porsche". This a a sticker, but it looks just like the etched-in version that comes on the wheels when new. Refurbishment takes the legend off, but Adrian's stickers are more than satisfactory in my view.
And finally, even the backs of the wheels look great:
I am made up. Now I must get the refurbed set on before Spa!
Adrian charges far less than the (only very limited number of) companies that do refurbs for split rims. If you phone him, he will give you a price:
Adrian on 07831 572087....and tell him I sent you.
He's the bloke in the Maritime Blue 964 RS with an annoying habit of overtaking you at track days if that rings any bells.
PS...I know that some of you would want your rims anodysed and Adrian says he will look into doing this. But you won't get the glorious polished shine as above if you do this. I may get my other set anodysed, I'm not sure.

Vic, I paid £780, but I don't know if that's the final price he has set for future work. He's only just started doing this really.
Not lacquered either (although he can do this obviously). I would rather have my man keep the wheels nice and polished rather than deal with split laquer every 5 minutes. What with us GPs all earning 1/4 million a year this is no problem! Anodysing may be an option of course.
The bolts are reused, I think he dips them in acid then zinc plates them. They look like new to me.

Johnny, they do look great Adrian has done an excellent job!
Although it is definitely a very fair price it is not a direct comparison with jasmine/diamond refurbs......
I understand they both insist on fitting new bolts, 4x40 @ £2 = £320
Maybe the new bolts is where the money is made??
Plus there is the additional cost involved of lacquering or anodising the rim.
Without trying to put a downer on it, I guess you are saving the dreaded vat

Fair points as ever Paul. But to be fair, I wouldn't even have bothered refurbing the Speedlines at Jasmine/DS high prices. I would just have bought some aluminuim BBS race wheels instead, put the knackered old Speedlines into storage and called it a day. But at Adrian's price I felt I could refurb the Speedlines.......then get some BBS as well in a bit!!
I had a quote on some 3 piece BBS split rims having stumbled across a couple of wheel refurb companies on another forum. The prices were very reasonable if anyone requires any further details drop me a pm.
