Hi Little Jao

as the bearings are a loose fit in the front hubs (which is what i assume you are refering to) the most logical way through this is to take the bearings to a parts factor and compare them with Ford bearings of the period. Or better still go to a bearing specialist with your bearings and they will look at the numbers on the casing and match you up with the correct items.

so, is this a new bearing that you are trying to fit?

if so you need to find the old bearing and check the numbers on the casings match. If not you need to go back to the supplier and change the bearing I'm afraid. I must say I've not come up against this problem before though.

Sorry I cant be more help

If you take a look on the JOC forum you will see a posting on how to find out the correct bearing size - there are basically 3 groups of numbers one for outside diameter - one for inside diameter and the third for thickness - as MrFrosty said you need to recover your old bearings and you will find the numbers - otherwise you need a micrometer and start measuring.

Maybe you have Mk2 or Capri Hubs.

Moral of the story - with a kit car never assume anything until you have checked for yourself.
