Removing a Phantom Server
Discussion
Chaps,
I think that's the name (Phantom) for a server that physically no longer exists but still exists in AD.
Basically, someone previously shat over one of our test Exchange 2003 servers that was configured in AD and part of the same Exchange Administrative group as our live servers. They forgot to remove the server from AD and Exchange System Manager first so now we have this Exchange server floating around our AD and I need to get rid of it.
Does anyone know how to do this or know of any articles as I can't find anything?
Appreciate any help.
Thx...T

I would try this on the Petri forums.
Daniel Petri runs the website and is a Microsoft MVP, the forum part of the site is particulary useful as there are many MVP's that post in there. It is the singular most useful forum I have found for windows problems.
Microsoft recommends Daniel on technet under community (see MCSE World).
They have helped me cure some seriously painful AD problems.

Other than that, do you have any microsoft calls in the bank?, if not it may be worth paying for their support.
