Wipers that turn themselves off??

Hello, Just wanted to ask a question:
When I push the wiper button once to have them on intermittent, they will work for 10-20 cycles and then stop. If I press the button again the same will happen. They will not stay on for more than a few minutes on the intermittent setting. When they are on normal speed or fast they work fine and do not shut themselves off??
This is not a major problem I know, but anyone had anything like it??
