Am looking at 360 purchase over the next 4-6 weeks, what is the general opinion of the specialist dealers in the south east?

Dealers I know of are Verdi, Foskers, Kent performance.

I don't want a lawsuit on my hands, but just general info on after sales, warranty issues and general standards.

Thanks
Rob

Speak with a broker first like Dion from www.elmscollection.co.uk , that is unless you enjoy paying for that very expensive glass and coffee at the dealer networks

Um seeing as the man has menitoned the independents around london I don't think he'll be seeing much coffee or glass!!! He will be paying a lot less for a car than you would at a franchised Ferrari dealer though!

I can only personally vouch for Verdis - they maintained my car (non service) for 2 years - very helpful, and easy to deal with. Ok it takes longer and the telephone manner isn't as professional as say Maranellos - but they are friendly and genuine - well worth checking out.

I bought a 360 a couple of months ago,i went to the non Ferrari dealers in Kent and i wasnt that impressed,i then went to the Ferrari main dealers in Kent but they work on to much profit margine i my mind,i ended up getting my car from Greypaul in Nottingham, well pleased,i bought a car with 4 less owners,13000 less miles on the clock and 4k cheaper.I think if you are going to spend the sort of money they are,you should go to a main dealer, this of courese is just my opinion... You get what you pay for springs to mind..

Email me and I'll tell you who to avoid like the plague!!!

I have proof and personal/friends experiences and will soon be publishing a very interesting document re some dealers, obviously not through PH though

Good luck with the purchase BTW and a good choice of transportation

I can only speak for my experience of Kent High Performance cars, they were excellent but have a superb reputation anyway

I've bought and sold 2 cars through Verdi's with no complaints. Worth noting that if your after a butt kissing salesman then main dealers are the only way to go. Verdi's is a no BS kind of place, Karl speaks his mind which is not to certain peoples tastes but I do prefer a straight talking person.

You will pay slighlty more than a private sale but you do get good back up and piece of mind.

I've also heard good things about Kent High Performance and Joe Macari's.

Ok - but what would you rather pay - Trade + Elms commission (coupe of grand) or Trade + 15 to 20% margin from said independants?

Elms can usually deal on the same cars at the independents

Email sent!

Thanks chaps..

Had a 355 spider LHD (ex Mika Salo F.1 driver) many moons ago, which was nice but niggly.. since then, have been in the realms of Stuttgart. Have owned 2 turbos, 2 GT3s inc RS etc.

Now fancy the "tingle down spine" sensation of firing up the engine, which to me means Fezza time!
I think there is still movement downwards for the 360, but a reasonable car can be picked up for 60kish, I want a RHD Modena, manual with less than 20k miles..

Cheers
Rob
