Now, I know I don't ever read the manual that comes with anything so it always takes me longer to get to know my property than it does those who actually go to the bother and do read it but....

I have had my 'Kim' for approximately 6 weeks now and apparently, according to a bloke on e-bay, there is a glove box which I have singularly failed to find!

Maybe unbeknowns to me, I have slipped into another dimension...one where the Chim does indeed HAVE a glove box and i just didn't notice the transition from there to here.

Here's the item:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tvr-Griffith-Ch

Please somebody...tell me I haven't been putting my wallet, mobile etc in that (frankly pathetic) small pit behind the door release knob when all along there's a glove box - apparently with a catch!

There is a small elasticated "pouch" (for want of a better word) under the dashboard on the passenger side on my Chimaera. Perhaps that's what he's referring to?

No glove box as such. But there is an elasticated pouch under the dash in the passenger footwell. Can fit the front of the stereo in there and maybe an iPod (and that's about it!)

You're not missing one... it's an eBay numpty

Chimaera has a "pouch" for a glovebox and little "cubby holes" behind the seats.

The eBay item is rubbish. That's a catch for a Griffith glove box. The Chimaera doesn't have one.

this is why a Chimaera is better than a Griff

Under the dash by the passenger's knees there is a soft pocket which is useful for stashing loose items. Beyond that, nope, the Ebay scam raises it's ugly head again - the Griff does have a glovebox of sorts (for their tissues) but the Cerb has nothing - so everything gets bunged over the drivers shoulder onto the unfortunate Meerkats in the back seats!

Have you found the little hidyholes behind the seats yet? Have a look inside you might find something a previous owner left in there.

Well done, forgot about those, with the Chim going at the weekend I better check to see what the wife has stashed in them.

They're behind the seats.

More specifically, they're in the bulkhead opposite the backs of the seats. Hinged at the bottom and secured by velcro at the top, so you pull the tops gently towards the seat backs to open them.

A H H A ! ! !

BRILLIANT....I JUST FOUND WHERE THE PREVIOUS OWNER PUT THE CD PLAYER CARRY CASE !!!

I've been cursing him about not supplying a case - so I feel a bit foolish now

Thanks chaps (and chapess's if appropriate).

Now...any more nooks and crannies I should know about...I know, I know - read the manual

Transmission tunnel - the triangle at the back lifts up and you can put stuff under it and then cover it over again.

So...one IT person back-slapping another for being sarcastic and un-helpful...no change there then...must be part of the curriculum.

It was gentle humour, not sarcasm in this case, and I went on to describe the location in exact detail for you. So wind your neck back in, you ungrateful sod.

Bit like an accountant mis-managing things and being unable to find stuff...

There aren't exactly a huge amount of places that there could be a "hidey hole" behind the seats now are there...

How did you get the triangle thingy out?? mine seems to be welded in. Would be a great place in hide stuff.
