Le Mans Weather

Yes, several times. The Houx campsite drains very well as the 'soil' is just sand and pine needles. Houx Annexe can get a bit boggy. It's usually not that cold even when it's lashing down, so you soon dry off. It does'nt really make that much difference to the experience and it might keep some of the locals away, which is a good thing.
Oh, and the cars go a bit slower round the corners as well...

Seem to remember weather debate last year. We'd done the sums down the pub and reckoned it rained every third year so plan for rain. Secret is to stay pished and wear very little - skin dries quicker than t-shirt material! Both look bad when you fall over in the mud...this is to be avoided.

Ah Ha! We had calculated every 4 years, which has been proven to be a complete load of bo......! Global warming etc.
But we subscribe to view that it's best to stay comfortably numb!
The weather at my last few Le Manses was er, exceptional. It was either a baking heatwave, or a monsoon. One of the reasons I gave it a rest for 3 yrs or so. (Going back this year to see the dag-dag
)
Mind you, I must say the cars are bloody impressive in the wet. Definitely worth watching the cars then. (Does anyone on PH actually go to see the race? Just curious...)
