Problem 2 Horn stuck on.

After two weeks in the garage i pulled the car out tonight to start the job of doing the throttle cable.I conected the battery and the horn is stuck on.Took the steering wheel off to see if the wires were snagged but all seem ok,Checked the ribbon cable and it doesnt seemed snagged.All i know is it wasnt doing it when i put the car away two weeks ago.How do i disconnect the horn?And any one got any ideas on how to solve the problem. thanks for any advice given. Before any else mentions the obvious...I always seem to have the problem with a horn when driving sorry pre-holiday mode so...I don't care

Both horns are located just inside the air intake below the front number plate. If your hands are small enough, then you can pull the spade terminals off the horn, there are 2 terminals on each horn....just disconnect either one, and that will stop it sounding.

The plates inside the unit corrode, due to water ingress, if you can get a screwdriver or similar to it, try giving some purcussion adjustment, may just shake the corrosion enough to solve your problem.

Just an update on procedings.For the life of me i could not find the horns in the front of the car,checked where i was told to check but couldnt find them.Anyway pulled out fuse number 3 and that stopped it.Gave the fuse blades a clean up put back in but still no joy.All the buttons on the wheel work so i doubt its the ribbon cable.Anyone with any ideas?

Horns are in front of the rad. Reach into the lower grille hole and reach down. two in there either side of the centre.

Ive checked in there,and its definatly not there.ive got an early 96 N reg car.Could they be under the panel beneath the crankcase? Any ideas as to whats causing the horn to stick on?
