Bit of advice needed, should I be checking my oil level on my 98 996 regularly or is the 5 second check at start up good enough?

PS, I am not intrested in the slightest about the mechanics of how a car works & this has NOTHING to do with rms baiting that has been going on lately.

You should always check/keep an eye on your oil level regularly. Check your drivers handbook to see what the cars oil consumption should be (Probably around 1ltr of oil per 1500-2000km) and kepp it topped up accordingly. Oil is your cars life blood., don't neglect it

just remember to check it as follows . . .

when the car is well and truly warmed up
has been left for 5 minutes or so switched off
on a flat surface

I always measure mine about 20 mins from home at a petrol station on my way into London (240 mile round trip)
