My standard Chim 400 keeps having intermittent idling/running problems - just stalled 4 times in 100 yards in heavy traffic... Have checked stepper which had almost no coke on it, so can't imagine throttle will be coked either. Any ideas? Thanks.
I just went through the same with mine.
I gave the inlet side of things a good clean as there were some deposits on the butterfly and also ran some injector cleaner through the system. Its actually made a bigger difference than i would have believed.
Good luck
Kim
Thanks. Does seem a bit strange as engine runs very well most of the time - in fact on Surrey Rolling Road last week they said it was the most powerful standard 400 they had tested. Will try your suggestions as I don't have anything to lose!
I had a similar problem. Running fine while moving but a tendancy to
stall while at idle, i.e. stoped at lights, in queues.
Turned out to be the Lambda sensors. They were giving to much
off a duff reading at low revs/running speed.
