Office space

I have a friend who is starting a new business and looking for a couple of desks in central London and potential use of meeting rooms. This is for a start up so cost is an issue. Any ideas?

He has looked at a couple of serviced offices but they seem to be quite costly.

Are there cheaper options?

get a virtual office (c£100 per month incl nice postal address/phone answering etc)
orange even do a "local number" fr about £10 per month - my mobile starts 0208 . . . dialling in and out!

I think you will be paying £500-£750 or so per desk per month for central London space.
