1800s/Vixen S1 Transmission Tunnel Cover
Discussion
Hello Clive.
The S1 vixen didn't have a vinyl covered ply transmission cover? The s1 vixen had a pleated and quilted vinyl trim panel that fixed over the transmission tunnel and was held in place via pop studs or lift the dot type fastners.
the s2 onward vixen had the ply covered vinyl top cover that housed the gearstick and handbrake etc.
similarly the dash on an S1 vixen was all wood and not ninyl covered.
I can fix you up with a series 2 paper template if you want or if you want to trim to original I still have the correct pleated trim cover for the tranny tunnel which you could borrow to have replicated.
Its a while since I took my car to bits and so some of the trimming details are a bit sketchy but If you need any info then i will do my best to help.
Nice to see another S1 vixen about
