Dealer meeting at Blackpool

Went to my local TVR main dealer yesterday. Apparently the dealer principle along with all the other TVR dealers were called to a meeting at Blackpool yesterday.
The guy who told me had no idea what it was about but obviously they wouldn't do that if they were going to say "hello Guys, we're closing down" would they?
Hopefully the future for TVR is a lot brighter than a lot of the doom mongers whould have us believe.

The meeting was supposed to take place last month but had been cancelled.

I'm pleased to find out that the factory meet with dealers...I hope they listen and act on what the dealers tell them...after all they are the interface to the customers....US

I got told this morning (from a TVR dealer, the guy who told me attended yesterdays meeting) that a new factory has been finalised in terms of plans, location and structure, but thanks to the unions they have a 90 day silence period before it can be announced to the media/general public.

How much truth is in that only time will tell.

According to last nights Blackpool Gazette there was a meeting between Blackpool Council and TVR dicussing 3 options for a new location. 1 down the road from current factory and 2 sites down by the airport (1 would be a new build and the other an existing building).

Hope that any meeting includes people emphasising how important it is that TVR remains a British sports car

I heard a rumour (from a very good source !!!) that TVR have also been seriously considering a new facility right next door to Lotus.
