Coming into work yesterday, down a narrow country lane with passing places. See car coming toward me, road is only wide enough for one car so slow to a crawl, he sees me and locks up all wheels so I pull up a bank and into a hedge to avoid a head-on and stop. He is still skidding, continues to skid right past me and scratches all down my off-side, fractures the door and takes a big chunk out of my B-post, plus scratching on the near side from the hedge! All he can say is "sorry"....f###in tw#t! Bloody 18yr old in his Dad's fiesta, only been driving since January. Tw#t!

Absolutely no excuse for it, you can only see about 30-40m ahead at any time because of all the bends and hedges and I and Mr. plod reckoned he was doing around 40mph from the skid marks.

Any advice for repairs chaps. I'm assuming Webbs of Bristol as they seem to be the specialists.
They're really busy at the moment though and can't fit me in until July. Flippin' typical I drive the car every day, all through the winter, nursing it through wet and slippery conditions - first bit of good weather we have and some fat kid wrecks my car and I can't get it repaired until nearly Autumn. Supposed to be going on a driving holiday next weekend too, last chance before my wife gives birth in July.

Get in touch with Pher Anniesdad - he runs a company similar (but far better than) helphire and should be able to help you, including organising a 'like for like' courtesy car.He sorte mine out last year and has helped several other PHers.

Speak to Richard Smith at Dulford Automotive 01884 266675.

He is a bit further away from you than Webbs, but will probably do a better job quicker.

Worth a call at least.

Sorry for your troubles, but look on the bright side, no one was hurt and it will be alright again (eventually!)

Be aware the insurance companies may want to go knock for knock in this situation even if you were stationary...
