Can anyone help, I'm converting some colour portraits to black and white using Photoshop CS2 but they are very flat/dull.

How can I tweak them to give a bit more impact?

I take it you mean the B&W version is a bit flat and dull?

There are lots of ways of converting colour to B&W, but at the most simple, once converted to B&W I find a small tweak up on the contrast can give a bit more punch to the B&W image.
