picked up my 348 spider....

unbeleivable. this is living up to all the hype..picked it up yesterday evening. got to guys house with brother, who just started laughing when he saw it. everyone who has been in it since has just laughed and smiled. within about 20miles felt completely at home, a very driveable car, steering amazing. 3rd to 4th shift..intoxicating, sound....now i havent bought this car because of the attention it attracts, in fact its the only thing that bothers me about owning it but...you have to smile when people are videoing you on mobile phones whilst driving on motorway..finally got home last night and i have to say..driving this car is a bit like making love to a beautiful woman...except...you just turn it off , lock it and it doesnt say anything..and, this morning i got up and the thing looks even more sexy than it did last night...looking through owners manual presently...never seen anything like it, lots of diagrams of how the engine is put together and frightening details re the complexity of various operating systems... just hope it doesnt go wrong. really feel like i am living the dream, gonna take it to work this afterrnoon.. bliss.

Yes, and it the Number One thing that really annoys me about driving it

Really!!! now that's good to know!! I don't really know much about these cars but am looking into getting one in 6 months! 348 seems like a great deal!! was looking at the Ultima, but the sound is a must for me!!
Where can I find some movies then :-)

yes. you are all entitled to say "i told you so". again , thanks a lot for advice over several threads i have been watching.made everthing really easy and gave me valuable knowledge. well, she has been with me all weekend and i have now delivered her to a car hotel where she currently sits next to a pristine f40...what a beast. i'm still entranced and cant stop staring at it..the f348. main thing that has stunned me is how happy this car is to tool around at LOW speeds..drove into london on saturday night, coped with nightmare a40 fine. 3rd gear is a very happy place to be..the car seems to like this gear as it can tootle along quite quicely but then , as soon as traffic permits you can make it sing and then shove it into 4th..bliss! i dont want to get all misty eyed here but i swear, when this car sees empty road and i point it at it it does feel like a living thing, in fact , like a horse which likes a gallop. car has top of the range stereo, which has not had its face attached through 300 miles..style wise i have to say..that rear end is like sex on legs, with chrome horse. the side slats, testarossa but without the size. perfection. cant really understand why these cars are often snubbed.only down side...have fallen out of love with my former babe, the 3.2 carrera. have put her in the classifieds and already had a lot of interest.. gonna get myself an old merc 190...just so that the jump into the fez is even more stunning.i am a complete computer idiot and dont know how to post pics. got some lovely ones on way to her new home. anyone able to give me some simple advice? ps , i've got an apple. only minus point ..view through right side obscured like a nightmare by windscreen pillar which seems from the inside like an rsj. NOTHING ELSE.again thanks all. and anyone thinking of doing this thing DO IT.

Actually to be honest, they both sound good but different.
A 348 with a tubi/decatt roars like a lion.
A 355 with a capristo sceams like a banshee.
I'd be happy with either.
