I have a Lexmark printer that I haven't used for about six months. I rigged it all up the other day, with new cartridges, it whizzed and whirred like it was working normally but nothing came out.

Has something dried up and blocked it? What can I do about it?

Thanks for your help.

Joe.

Should be an option for head cleaning somewhere in the printers settings. Run that to clean her out. Inkjets do dry up if they aren't used.

Sorry, should have said, I've tried all of that stuff and it made it a bit better but still rubbish.

Should be able to find a decent head cleaning guide here:

This is one of the good points with HP inkjet printers..when you change the cartridge the head is changed too.

Where did you buy your cartridges? Sometimes retailers let them sit on the shelf forever...

They should have an "Install By" date on them I think.
