Rattling pipes and broken ARB bracket
Discussion
Since I have fitted 45 profile tyres on the back I have had an annoying rattle, just had a look and saw what has happened, the anti roll bar (ARB) has been hit on the nearside and broken the mounting bracket where the drop link attaches to the wishbone, this in turn has caused the ARB to hit the pipes and break a welded strip that hold them apart, hence the rattle.
I have an advanced handling day next Monday, so will wire the pipes together so they don't rattle (for the time being until I can get them welded) and I suppose I should disconnect the other drop link on the ARB, will the bar stay in place without the drop links or will the arms drop?
Also what effect will disconnecting the ARB have on handling?

The bar will be fine AFAIK, I think its a nightmare to remove, so no one does!
As for handling, you'll have a fair bit more traction out of corners and the cars balance will move from pretty much pure oversteer to a little bit of understeer and then big oversteer. I'd quite like to try this set up on ours, but I need to convince dad. You can dial out the understeer should you wish to keep the rear ARB disconnected by changing the spring rates.
