I never realised before but Dani Pedrosa is actually a hobbit.
Was utterly painful watching Rossi gain almost a place every lap and then see his front tyre destroyed (maybe) but conversely it was great to see Stoner get back to 5th after his little hiccup. Another good race though I'm beginning to doubt if Yamaha will sort their problem out.

personally i think if this season carries on the way it has then Rossi wont be going to F1 any time soon.
i also think Pedrosa is a very good rider but he doesnt show any emotion and has no charecter and for this reason i dont really like him , i would much rather have seen Hayden win.

Would you bet against him though? OK, so he's had some bad luck so far this season, but he's still riding better than anyone out there when it gets to the race. One more lap in Turkey & he'd have been on the podium. If it hadn't been for the tyre today, he'd have been up there.
Whatever, still 13 races to go, and the racing's better than ever. Whatever the results, as race fans, we're all winners.

Im puzzled as to why Edwards did so well and Rossi so poor?
yes Rossi was catching up and cutting through the pack but why was he so far down the field to start with?
Edwards is one of my favourite riders but he has not shone and been far to inconsistant since he went to moto GP. So how come he qualifoed so much better than Rossi?

On BBC interactive this morning, Steve Parrish reckoned that Rossi had spent all the set-up time and qualifying time trying to iron out the handling problems. Consequently they never managed to get many proper, serious qualifying laps in. How true this is of course, who knows, but at least it's a good theory. On the day though, Rossi was plenty quicker than Edwards and would have easily reeled him in but for the tyre problem.
I am a fan of Rossi, and of Ducati, so a victory for either makes me smile. But I agree that as race fans it's shaping up to be a damned good season. Well done to Pedrosa, he rode a good race.

He might have an advantage top speed wise due to his weight ( 51kg with full kit ), but strength wise he's disadvantaged. Anyone who has tried to turn a bike at speed will know that they really take some muscle to change direction.
Know what you mean about his personality though.
By the way, how boring was that F1 " race " zzzzzzzzzzz

no i definatly wouldnt bet against Rossi, ive always wanted him to do well and hope he still does, i think hes still the best man out there and is just having a few technical problems but if he did lose the championshi this year i think that it could have a positive effect as he would stay longer in Moto GP and i would rather he did than go to F1,Pedrosa does have a huge advantage on the straights, when Kate Moss gives up modelling they should get her on a GP bike to give him some competition in the weight department.

Next time Hayden's being interviewed, close your eyes and think of Cletus the slack-jawed yokel from The Simpsons.
Some folkel never ride a bike,
and then again some folkel,
like Cletus the slack-jawed yokel.
Like his riding style - seems to like being more sideways than anyone else but amazed he has enough tyre left to get podium finishes (but then I know nothing about racing a bike).

it was a lot easier to hussle the bike around when I was slimmer.
