Hi folks.

O.k can any of you help with a bit of a rich running problem.
Seams to be worse/only when engine is cold and first started,
the engine runs very rich and a little "fluffy" . Once car has been
run for a few minutes, everything is spot on.

Car has done 55k, just had a full service with the following item s
replaced. Engine temp sensor, dissy cap and rotor, coil, plugs and
ignition leads.

I was thinging it could be the fuel temp sensor on the n.s engine bank
fuel rail...but to be honest, cant really see what this part does or the point
of this sensor.

Oh, by the way, the car is a Chimaera 400 HC.

Cheers guys.

Sounds like mine
Unless I "pick the revs up" on cold start-ups the engine will over fuel itself.
Hold the throttle for 10 secs n then it ticks over fine.

Yeah, that sthe problem, but there must be
a better fix than reving a cold engine.

On a seperate note, had to remove the o.s.f door trim today to
fix the cigar lighter (dont smoke, but plug in battery charger!)
I am sure that the scratches on mty arm will never heal!!! lol

If anyone would like to talk to their ECU I hire out fault code readers for £10 per week.

PM me if you want more details.

Cars with air conditioning have the fuel cooled by passing it through a jacket around the A/C pipe from the compressor (the coldest part of the system) prior to it entering the fuel rail. Perhaps the fuel temperature sensor is used on those cars?
