I always used to quite like the way 2CV drivers waved, when I had one. Similarly, fellow Moggie, TR, and Scimitar drivers wave. Even on the odd occasion I've seen another Quattro they've flashed their lights.

Generally though, Audi drivers are a miserable bunch nowadays...

You're right, yertis. I enjoy greeting other Landrover drivers; that gesture has to be interpreted as "you're doing the right thing, mate", but for the 2CV, I simply wasn't prepared for these actions, as I didn't buy it out of enthusiasm, but for economic reasons (insurance).
The more expensive alternatives would have been an AX, 106, 205, etc., because Minis are to expensive over here.
And the 2CV is good for what it was build for: a reliable practical inexpensive motor.
