Any one know who makes a carbon fibre dash for a late Chimaera? or has anyone got a old dash/radio panel in the back of the garage that they care to sell me that I can use as substait. I do have mine but it is unmarked or would be shame to strip the wood off it.

Thanks Mark

Not any use to you, but I was going to fit a carbon dash (a mate was going to lay it up for me). Once I had got the old (and badly cracked) one out I sat in the car thinking what would actually suit the car (tan over magnolia with blue carpets) rather than what would look "different". I then promptly put a new walnut one back in again ..very pleased with the decision.

I have a carbon dash. looks great imho with the colours i have.

I bought a sheet of carbon and my mate cut & glued to the backing plates. It matches the inside targa roof.

Havent got a hosting place to upload a foto to show you

IMO go ahead and do it..

On a bit of a tangent, does anyone know a company/individual who could lay up a carbon fibre version of the entire dash to go into the racer? Would be a nice when I get round to sorting the cosmetics.

ACT have a lot of CF stuff on their website, maybe they could help with that?

In fact, something a lot like this:

BTW Ted's hyper efficient banner advertising algorithm was actually giving the answer to your question!

It came from Malaysia with some other race bits,it wouldn't be that hard to overlay the existing,i'd imagine.

Hi Ian

NZ is the home of the Chim racer's..
We have all of the above plus some.
I feel guilty about the fairing's so will give you them if you pay for the shipping/post.

Hi Mark
I haven't forgot your initial inquiry.Their made from a material similar to a coke bottle plastic, but slightly harder as i've had the Windsreen made of the same to overcome the rules as far as, types of plastics to be used.
I'm concerned they will not refract the light sufficiently for a MOT as they are not made for a road car and as i'm no longer going to use them, and therefore will not go to the expense of testing.
As far as the splitters, which are bolt on/off,i'd need a minimum of 10 to make it worth while for moulds, they should also fit Cerbs,i'll send you a pic tommorrow.

Hi Paul, Ah had'nt thought of the the MOT problems, good point. Have been trying to track down a front spitter for ages, is it from the the Malaysian racing Chimaera, some pictures would be great.

Put me down for one, so just another nine to sell!
