Wonder if anyone can help, just got a new computer, and have set up outlook as per instructions from my network provider, problem is that outlook keeps losing the pop3 setting, which means I get all the messages from the server(my parents also use my account and have separate mail addresses) so I get all their mail too.

Any ideas how I can stop it?

When are the settings getting lost? Each tme you send/receive? Only after you quit/restart OE? Only after a reboot? Only after your parents have been borrowing your PC?

Something worth doing is writing down the server and account settings from the existing mail account, and creating a new account from scratch with the same settings. Accounts set up by your ISP's installer don't always behave the same as ones set up manually.

I've just had another quick look, and it loses the setting each time I log off/log on again, the computer is on a wireless network, could that have any effect?
I set up the account manually, rather than using the ISP installer, might just delete it and try again.

Have they actually got their own account, or are they aliased to yoour account?

Have you tried setting up a user profile for them. ie you have your profile, and they have theirs?

Works for me...

They're aliased to my account, we aren't in the same house, have never been a problem. I replaced my computer at the weekend, and now its losing the setting. However, it seems to be ok if I don't log off, and only goto standby. Weird thing is that the settings are exactly the same as on my old computer, and this never happened on that
