Suspension upgrades for the C4
Discussion
Ordered a Doug Rippie xtragrip package a couple of weeks ago
www.dougrippie.com
The ZR1 and some other other C4's (was it an option on base C4's?) came with FX3 adjustable Bilstein shocks.

Ive been looking for a shocks maker/supplier in the UK that can supply shocks for a C4 wether a standard set up or coilovers, but i suppose i need to get off my lazy arse and look harder.
There must be someone in this country that can supply them?,maybe i need to take a front and a back shock around a few places, but where?
Anyone for a group purchase on a set of fully adjustable coilovers if we can find them?
By the way ive got a front camber bar that ive got to fit.

well Ive managed to get some specs from some of the lads using coilovers in the states and have these to go on ,waiting for the rears to arrive then I will start tearing it to bits and see what happens.
Billet upper rear brackets to move the shocks and springs away from the trailing arms
front adjustable coilovers with 1.9"ID Springs @ 400lb with the smaller ID shocks there should be no issues with the front swaybar needing heim joints or relocating it.A lot of USA kits require this as they use larger diameter springs
I will be using the same shocks in the rear with 300lb springs

Nice work JK,where did you manage to buy these parts from?
hi Ian - after speaking on the phone yesterday maybe I can elaborate
C4 92 + are a bit soggy , but with good shocks and maybe harder springs frt and back and advanced alignment settings (see my website) it should be OK. may people upgrade to coil overs but in my opinion the improvement is not worth the coast unless you just wanna spend money on the car.. consider harder springs and sports bilsteins - get good soft rubber for ulimate grip - most of all and far better to spend on is BETTER BRAKES.
