New PB at Shakespeare County!
Discussion
The pace car had a great outing on Sunday, its now done 138000 miles and we've wondered if its time to freshen the motor up however Keith's best quarter mile time up to Sunday was 12.67. It ran 12.35 (have timing ticket!) with a 1.88 60 foot, was on run flats (usually put the Nittos on for drag racing) and the only bad news it was our son Mark driving it! Only joking, Sunday was his first ever trip down the quarter mile and that time was on his third run, really pleased for him, he did a great job, perhaps he'll now get rid of his Mustang and buy a Chevy! Congrats also to Richard Ross who also ran a PB around 11.70 in his ZR1, fantastic.
Thanks and well done indeed to Mark on getting an incredible time on runflats. I wonder what he would have run on slicks?
Well I was hoping the Z would run 11.70's with the full-on injector housing porting and head porting I did over the winter and it seems to have paid off with a best ET of 11.72 and a best MPH of 118.54.
I have a few more mods to do, which should net a couple of tenths to get me 11.40-11.50 on the motor, watch this space.
I'm looking forward to a heads up race with JenkinsComp's C6 Z06, maybe Mark should be the driver??
