Very cheap 968CS
Discussion
Your thoughts please chaps,
If I was to say I could get hold of a 968CS, in black, with 107k miles, totally straight and in good condition for about £8,000 would anyone think that was a good buy??
Not interested in it for myself (as I have one obviously) but wondered if there was anyone out there that would be interested instead??
Before Mr C starts moderating me this is posted here as I don't have the details to put it in the classifieds and it's more a feeler for the price reflecting the miles.

It sounds pretty good to me, assuming cams have been done etc.
If it has M030 it would defo be a steal.
Shame I need the extra couple of seats, otherwise it would be a perfect second car for the Domster.
108k miles is nothing Manu, you are too used to that Italian rubbish that falls apart after 30k miles on an Autostrada

Yip seems cheapish must be LHD I'm assuming? miles reasonable (its not a Fiat opps I mean Ferrar Manu
so engine should be good for 200k no matter how its driven) or an aircooled 911 in need of a head over haul at 100k.
Must budget 2K for replacing the cams & tensioners etc. Gearbox & the torque tube bearings would be a bit of a worry too, although not too expensive if done before it goes pop!
I really have no idea how people manage to get the daft prices for 968CS- or why people pay them, like over priced cars of Malton who are asking £18k for one, when I met a fella at Goodwood late last yr who paid just over £10k for his FSH 50k or 60k miles-(i think) mint RHD white CS from a dealer!

I paid 7500 for a LHD 968CS in Scottster Yellow, only 32,000 Miles on the clock, but.... with absolutely no service history. I did all the checks on the car to make sure of the legality of the car and the condition. I did exactly as Iguana recommended and promptly spent a couple of grand on various things to make sure that the car is "sorted"
If I'm completely honest with myself I should have paided more and got one with a FSH - but I love the colour and I've not seen many others for sale in the yellow. But never mind as I am very happy with the car and at the moment I am trying to build a least a partial service history on the car by obtaining a replacement service book and calling OPC's to find out if they serviced it.
