Yep, it's a well known fact when you're a kid, that if you copy someone elses homework, you can be back playing with your toy cars really quickly.

It has been almost three years now since we launched the business online and we have enjoyed every minute of it. However, we have been looking at the business in-depth since the New Year and have taken the decision to significantly change our positioning in the market.
This has not been an easy task in the slightest but we have now decided that Carinabox as it stands today will be closing in the near future and we shall be focussing our efforts on two new ventures. The first being a site dedicated to the very best in large scale models from brands such as Amalgam and Autodromo as well as the high end quality 1:18 scale models from CMC, Exoto and Motorbox. We have taken this decision simply because the market has changed significantly over the past few years and we wanted to stand out from the crowd and concentrate on the more selective, expensive brands, as we feel there are too many mail-order companies and internet retailers all fighting for a share of the multitude of lower priced brands.
The second new site will be dedicated to just one brand. A brand that has been hugely successful for us over the years and continues to thrive, and that is AUTOart. For the price, we believe that there is no other brand that comes close. Their fantastic range and the attention to detail are second to none and by working closely with AUTOart’s UK distribution warehouse based near us, we look forward to pushing this brand further.
Therefore we felt we must contact each customer directly prior to us making an announcement via our mailing list to inform you that as of today, the models that are currently outstanding on your order will no longer be fulfilled. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you, but a clean break must be made to enable us to move on. Please note that no funds have been taken from your card and will not be taken. Any promotional discounts that you are entitled to will be credited back to you before we cancel the order completely.
It has been a very busy time here of late, so please accept our sincere apologies if we have not been available to answer phone calls or reply to emails as quickly as we normally do. I thank you for your continued patience and cooperation and for those who have purchased from the brands we shall be focussing on in future, we hope that you come along with us, and we shall notify you of the new sites once they are up and running. In the meantime, we are about to clear out the shelves of everything else we have in stock and it’s all going to be sold off at half price, so visit our site soon and check out what’s left before we close down to launch the two new sites.
