Hi,

As my T350C is coming up for it's first service I've been considering having a sports exhaust fitted at the same time.
While they sound great outside the car my concern is how much they increase the noise inside the car.
Can those who have had them fitted comment on internal noise ?

Thanks

If I was doing a lot of motorway driving I would probably get tired of it pretty quickly. But otherwise... it's great

I recently changed my SuperSports exhausts back to the standard one to meet track-day noise limits but couldn't get it back on quick enough. The standard one seemed so quiet and annonymous by comparison. The SuperSports exhaust is by far the best modification I've made.

They must be silly loud then - I'm used to having sports exhausts from my VXs (and that includes the V'hall sports exhaust on my 2.2s which was bloody loud), and my T350 is at least as loud as they are. I find it quite boomy at about 2400rpm, but fine at 2800 oddly....

Eh! What! Booteeefull

Seriously, can be a bit wearing on a long run, but like all exhausts there is always a resonance point at certain revs, steer clear of these when cruising and not too bad. Mine's OK at 80 but bloody noisy at 85. Hope this helps.

Go for it! When I bought the T350 it came with a sports exhaust and the dealer kindly agreed to keep the standard one aside in case I / the neighbours found it too noisy.

I agree that half way through a long mtorway run you sometimes want to turn the volume down, but then you notice someone winding their window down just to hear you go by.

Also, I think that's what these cars are all about ... head turning looks and noise

Supersports exhaust here too, and definitely the best money i've spent on the car. I never tire of the noise, in fact, when the engines warmed up the car sounds like a spitfire on acceleration!!

Thanks to all who replied, you've convinced me.
As this is it's first 12month service I've had a year of quiet(ish) motoring so time for some noise.

you can here my super sports exhaust by visting the www.maxx-waxx.com web site. I must say it sounds the dogs dangly bits on mine. The only catch being when I start it, if someone is walking by I warn them. People normally just smile till they jump 3feet in the air!
