Fiat punto mod. HELP!!!

I am looking for some info about fiat puntos. I am very interested in modifing my 1.2 fiat punto, I have a great mix body kit, K&N induction kit, mongoose up sweep oval performance kit. But, I feel that the engine is some what lagging behind. What I am looking to do is change the engine to some thing with power. Does not have to be Fiat so what I need to find out is what kind of engines I can fit into my punto? Please can any one help?
I don't know what model of Punto you've got - whether it's the MkI or II. If it's the MkI, I wouldn't bother with sticking a more powerful engine in it - they handle shockingly, even the GT's.
In fact, don't bother doing anything else to it, regardless of what model it is. Just save your cash and look towards something which is already powerful and interesting.
