What colour fuse is the 80 amp one please. I have read that there is another 100 amp fuse behind the battery connecting to the fuse box is this correct? I have taken the carpet out, the battery out just about everything which is not fixed down. Truth is I do not know what I am looking for - please help.

100 amp fuse is under the car, not in it.

When you say by the battery where exactly do you mean and what is it in?

It sits above the battery and hangs down, alongside fuel relay etc. You can't miss it as it's encassed in a black rectangular box. It's rare for it to fail as far as I know- but worth checking.

Edited to say: I'm referring to the 80 amp fuse link (on some cars) and not to the 100 amp link found next to the starter motor

Hi,
I'm struggling to post some pics but if you e-mail me i'll send them to you direct. These show both fuses, the only proviso is that mine has the battery in the boot, so the footwell is free of this and only contains the ECU and fuse /relay board, which in fact makes things easier to see . Otherwise i think the layout is the same.

Not all Griffs have either fuse; mine has neither. May be the same for some Chims.
