HI all,
my laptop battery has been useless for months, needs to be kept plugged in at all times to keep computer alive, but now the adaptor wire has a loose connection

ebay is not good for this as they dont seem to have genuine toshiba stuff
would like to get both items together and preferably from (cheap) net supplier for ease, just having trouble finding UK supplier who sells both items for less than £100

any recommendations?
(its a toshiba satellite pro a10- need ac adaptor and battery)

TIA

We've used www.laptopbits.co.uk and they were very good. They don't list everything on their website so call if you can't find the item(s) you want.

Have a look at www.computerbatteries.co.uk/ & www.mdsbattery.co.uk/ both of which I've used in the past.

I never used this place, but found it a few months ago when I was looking for something ...

.... seemed to be very well priced:

www.getpartsonline.com/

Yeah that come up on many of the searches I tried, postage worked out expensive though for UK delivery.

Another good one I found was www.any-batteries.co.uk and www.payless-batteries.co.uk which I do beleive are the same people, they also sell on ebay- which is why I went via ebay in the end.

Now all I need to do is try to preserve the battery this time and learn not to double bend the ac cord

If anyone is still reading this- does it do my battery any favours leaving it plugged in and on standby 24/7?

Hi Di/Matt

I have a Tosh as well, from what I know they tend to run pretty hot.I have read and been advised that whenever you can run off the mains DO, but make sure that that you take the battery out to...apparently this will enhance battery life.
