I thought they were Rover items from an SD1 ?

That's on the Series II Wedges as far as I can remember

I think I've posted about this in the dim and distant past.
Appologies if I'm repeating myself.
A long time ago I got fed up with the enormous blind-spots on the wedge. I made a template so that I could get new glass cut for the door mirror pods. My idea was to replace the flat glass with stuff which was lensed on the outside edge like most more modern cars use. Halfords (cant find the "Spit the dog" smiley ) did a custom cut service but when I got to the shop I found out they don't do it on the curved glass. So I bought some of the plastic stick on blind spot eliminators (appropriately wedge shaped) and it's stayed the same ever since.
When I took the template home and compared it with an old chrome Mini door mirror, I had laying around, which was standard fitment on most cars of that era (MGB, Escort etc.) It looked pretty much spot on. Now all I need to do is find somewhere that sells Mini pattern glass with the lensed edge.

Am I correct in assuming SD1 glass is the same as Mini/MGB?

I seem to recall from M A N Y years back, someone saying that they were from a small French hatchback (Peugeot 205?)... but I recently saw a picture of the Renault Fuego and thought the mirror glass was about the same shape.
They are ridiculously small, seems unlikely to me that the SD1 would have used that size, it was a big car after all...

Posted the same question last year when I upgraded to the 'pod' style mirrors. I didn't get any replies and so ended up buying the mirror glass from a TVR parts supplier. I can confirm that the glass is definitely not from a rover SD1, although the motor is. I still don't know what the glass is from.
