PPC mag pub meet, 26 May.
Discussion
What are you doing next Friday (26 May)?
Why not start the long weekend with Practical Performance Car magazine? We’re holding a pub meet in the peaceful village of South Witham, situated on the beautiful Rutland/S Lincs border. The 13th Century Blue Cow Inn has sufficient hard standing for lots of car parking, a great atmosphere, a barbeque and comfortable rooms at a knock down rate for those PHers who are unable to resist their delicious micro brewed Witham Wobbler.
The Blue Moo, home of the Witham Wobbler.
The magazine team will be there too, not that that’ll make much difference. We’ll have a selection of staff cars and Charlie Broomfield will be trying to explain why he’s spent 18 years of his life putting 27 litres of Rolls Royce’s finest into an SD1. We’ll be giving away magazines and subscriptions to the coolest cars and to whoever’s travelled furthest. It’s going to be nothing special, just some car nuts getting together for a gas and some grub. Whatever you drive, bring it along.. and if you do stay the night, why not explore some of Rutland’s great unspoilt and undiscovered driving roads, the beautiful towns of Oakham and Stamford and of course, Rutland Water itself.
The area is littered with quiet villages, charming pubs and some great restaurants.. it really is the perfect place to unwind. The pub meet starts anytime in the late afternoon, for more info e-mail al@ppcmag.co.uk, or pm me. South Witham is 1 mile off the A1, 20 miles north of Peterborough. Blue Cow: 01572768432. If you want to meet up with some mates, why not e-mail them this link, or post it on other forums?

Dean, the new owner of Luego Sportscars will be bringing a car along too, to answer any questions you might have and to give an insight into the future of the company.

OK Al, it sounds like it could be good. I might just have to check my diary and the weather as it would be quite a way.
Good news about Luego being taken over. I wonder if the new team will assist those who were left out of pocket by the previous incumbent.

Well.. I'll be there 4.00 pm onwards. If you fancy staying, double rooms are £45 or so, but mention PPC for some dosh off. The beer really is awesome, brewed out back.
I should have put this up earlier..

Further to your edit, I had a chat with the new owner this morning.
He's sympathetic to anyone who's lost money and he's trying to get them really good deals on parts that they need. Any more than that, its not my place to say I guess, but he sounds sincere and as he is a kit car builder himself, he appreciates the situation people find themselves in.
