Where do people get 'nurenburg' from, it's the Nurburgring, more specifically the Nordschleife

We just use it as a shortend name, and i cant spell nordschleffe.. ;-)

Perhaps it's coz everyone remembers Nuremberg... that's what pops in to my head...
