Hi Brian,

Just received the recall notice from Vauxhall re the side airbag issue. Any idea how long the job takes...is it a while-u-wait jobby or will I have to leave the car with you?

Also, I noticed that my service book wasn't stamped when I brought the car in a few months back...I presume can get that stamped whilst I'm there can't I?

Many thanks,

Neil

Brian said it was a 30 minute job in a previous thread.

Maybe we should all descend on Greens for a "Recall Day"

Hi Guys,

Just wondering, does it need to be a Monaro dealer or can a normal Vauxhall dealer do it?? Sounds a straight forward job so maybe they can do it and save me a fortune in fuel.

Cheers

Or more to the point....

Can the dealer supply the parts required for DIY.

The Job will need to be pre booked and has to be done by a Monaro dealer and cant be done DIY.

Takes bout 10-15 mins, but 30 mins covers any little issues.

If you want it looked at sooner rather than later, if you call Jeff direct as i will be out of the office for a week and may not have access to my email.

The recall can only be actioned when you have recieved your notification, as there is a chassis specific notification that we have to return to Vauxhall to confirm the work done.

Any questions after tomorrow, please direct to Jeffgates@greensofrainham.com

Bit crap if you would have to travel circa 400 miles and take a ferry.....

Especially for a 10-15 minute job. Mine's a 500 mile journey plus ferry and an overnight Any chance of reimbursed travel do you think

Which cars are being recalled for the air bag mod, only I'm out of the country 'til 7th Jul so do I need to contact Slaters in case they're trying to contact me? I have a CV8!

Thanks.

Paul, the Vauxhall helpline number is 0118 945 8500 so might be worth a call in your case.

The notifications come out via post direct to the registered owner. The dealer will not contact you directly.
