Sterring wheel fitment 993 to 944

Does anyone know if a 993 steering wheel will fit into a 944?

Is there any modifactions taht need to be made?

If I am fitting a quick release boss to the wheel does it make my question relevant?

Hi,

I've not done this to my 944, but on my Mini I fitted a quick-release boss - this mounted to the steering column, and then the steering wheel mounted to the Boss (i.e. so that it could quick release).

The result is that I don't think you'll be able to fit a standard manufacturer's steering wheel to a quick release boss...

Is this also a good way to stop your car being stolen. With a quick release sterring wheel you can take it off while it sits in the driveway

Didn't virtually all 993's (except for RS's and GT2's) come with airbag wheels whereas most 944's didn't?

Its an RS type wheel that I want to fit....

Yes having a removable swheel is a good deterant. Used to have ione in the 7 and along with the master switch its was great!...

..you cant hook a steering wheel and pull it through the letterbox!
