Am I right in thinking that only BiB and not scabby scameras can patrol the M6 toll - not sure why I believe this?!

M4 Severn crossing lesson - scammers out in force. In reply to an earlier post from V8 Archie I haven't seen (or heard of) a single KSI near the booths, has anyone else?

Not used the toll that many times, and only cruised it at 85-90 then. There are a couple of nice straights on the M40 where you can flex your right foot for a few seconds of break-the-sound-barrier motoring.

Perhaps DVD means Kmph ?

Did we join with Europe today, and are we supposed to be driving on the right?

There are 50mph then 30mph limits as one approaches the Toll Plazas now. And vice versa as one leaves, if memory serves.

This looks like a major extension of the existing limits, that's all.

Incidentally, does anyone else have trouble reading the 'matrix signs' for the Tolls that indicate 'exact change only' and so on (they are bright yellow)? I drove to Naples and back last year and had no problems seeing where to go to pay cash for Tolls sur le continent - but have not a clue on the M6Toll!!!

Doest'thaknow DVD you've lost me there.

The only time I used the M6 toll (don't ask!) the Weeford booths had 50 limits in and 30 limits out for quite some distance. Your quoted distances sound about right.

This must have been at least two years ago.

I wonder if they had the limit signs displayed and no proper TRO? Shurely shome mishtake by TPTB.

A lot of drivers on our motorways obviously think so!

Have a nice day

P.S. Sorry to quote you in isolation, but just seemed a fitting response

exact change
Presumably that means only if you have it? provided you offer them some money, they cant turn you back can they? Heading down that way later in the year, how much is the current rate for a car anyway? Is there a gate there where you can just chuck the coins in, incidently?

Have a nice day

M6 Toll? Now there is one road that I don't care two figs about when it comes to scams......

Haven't used it, never will.....I'd rather carry my car across the adjacent fields on my back than succumb to the re-imposition of tolls that were abolished in this country in the early Victorian era......

yes it is because people are approaching the booths too fast and putting staff in danger according to the press release i was sent and peak time long queues whilst Muppets find the change or their wallet in the boot, in a jacket, in the case etc

signs are crap, tag users are now solely restricted to the wide load lane at major toll booths

There are no scammera vans but there are a number of bridges for them to sit on, only an a occasional police presence

Standard of driving is crap, would have saved themselves a barrow load of cash by just building two lanes and then one would still be empty
