GT3 MK2 - two versions of brake calipers?

I've been told (after already buying spare front brake pads!) that the Mk2 came with 4 pot calipers in early models, and then got 6 pot ones later on. Is there an easy way to a) check whcih version my calipers are, and b) which version (4 or 6 pot) of pads I've got? (they are RS29's)\Thanks

mk2s had 6 pots. You can tell by looking at them by how many pistons they have. You'll see 3 bulges along the calliper if 6 pots, or you can take the wheel off and stick your head around the side to see the pistons themselves.

Pretty sure the mk1 had 4 pots which may be what was confusing them?

If you have the pads, then you can take the wheel off and see if the size of the pad corresponds to the ones you currently have in your callipers.

The disks are bigger yeah - 350mm rather than 330mm. Think the extra spacing was only on the calliper though, the uprights are the same.
