Steering rack question.....

Hi folks,
The wedge needs a new rack for the Mot, what on earth does it come from?

I seem to think it's a chevette monstrosity.

I believe (waiting to be corrected)it's Mk4 Cortina - if so you should be able to see the Oval on it somewhere.

Do you know, I think you are right, I had a marina once a blue thing, I knew I had seen the doorhandles before..

If its a manual rack, it is indeed cortina MK4.
If its a power steering rack, it could be one of a number of one-offs and moded racks.

If your near Birmingham, I have a manual rack you are welcome to I have left over from when I upgraded to power steering (which is well worth doing if your replacing the rack anyway).

Nope the door handles (if you mean outside ones) are Capri. The rack.....tighten the bolts up

Would indicate its proper shagged.

Nope, inside ones, the outside ones are definately capri.
