Chimaera ownership into day 4 and its taken me this long to find something to worry about. Is that good or bad?
Car is running fine and loving every minute except torrential rain on A34 last night and wipers pretending that they have a function.
Question is though, is that when I turn off the engine after a run, the rev counter and speedo bounce round in unison to about 3/4 way round and then back to the resting position. Is this normal?

Sounds really simple to me.... does the car run OK otherwise? Presumably, yes, so don't worry about it. Re wipers: there all crap, apply Rainx from halford and it doesn't matter! Enjoy the handling while it's wet! versteerohyes:

Thanks guys. Glad to hear this is not unheard of.
As for enjoying the handeling int the wet, boy did I underestimate the low down power of the car last night. Moterway slip road, slight curve, short shift into third to be safe, put foot down a bit and there we go back end stepping out. I think a very steep learning curve is fast approaching.

Try putting your foot on the brake before you turn off. That seems to prevent the needles doing their thing. Don't ask me why; but it works like that on mine.
