wheel alignment question....

I have been considering getting a 4 wheel alignment and made some enquiries at Tower View race Services London as that's not far from me. However they don't have the usual laser alignment; they do it by hand and can set it up to my weight....something to do with the benefit of having adjustable AVOs. Sounds interesting....
Just interested to hear from anyone who has had this done or has any knowledge of this?

Most aftermarket dampers are height adjustable.
Setting the cornerweights requires a set of scales (which can be extremely expensive, but needn't be). For setting the geometry, you can use a posh and very expensive laser alignment system but you can do just as good a job using sticks and string. I would have thought a big outfit like Tower View would have invested in the posh equipment because it is quicker and looks more impressive to the punters, but for a DIY job you can make all the equipment you need for around £50.
