Just been along the A245, East towards A3 this morning and seen the aftermath of what I think is the most expensive accident I have passed.

Traffic lights on 2-lane dual carriageway, 70mph limit, for a minor side road. A team of Ferraris and Lambourghinis travelling together. A ferrari seems to have lost the rear under accelaration from the lights, spun out and crashed off the carriageway to the left, travelling backwards and into the trees.

I think it was an F40 but difficult to tell (down a ditch smashed backwards into a tree).

Don't think anyone was hurt.

Anyone know better / more?

There was a Lambo day at Brooklands and I think you may have seen the Venturi which had an off on the way to the M25.

Guess you mean the 70 reduced to something or another for the lights? could be he thought he would get past the lights without slowing down, lights changed, had 2nd thoughts, and lost it?

Either way, guess we can speculate until doomsday, but an expensive crunch nevertheless. Whooooooooooops.

Have a nice day

You got the stretc of road, but happened "just" after the lights, before the RH sweep starts. Been back after the cleared it and the marks on the road suggest lost the back end to the Right 50m from traffic lights, skid sideways until front wheels touched kerb, completed the 180 and backwards over verge and into the trees.

Expensive.
