Adaptives and real time display

Just having a go at setting my car up and I wonder if anyone knows whether the adaptive maps provide a 'base' setting and then the realtime display you see for adaptive values is in addition to this.

I.E are the adaptive values displayed in real time absolute percentages from the base fuel map, or are they on top of previously 'learned' values (the adaptive maps).

Just trying to get my head around all this, but I've noticed that when I re-set the maps to zero the car will not idle until a few minutes have passed - almost like it needs to re-learn.

Any comments?

they're absolute values above (positive) or below(negative) the base fuel map after any trims for coolant / air have been added.

I've also noticed that when my cooling fans come on, the adaptive percentages jump up by 4-5% until the fans switch off again.

I'll see how the car goes, but its very sensitive when setting it up. Must take a while to be able to do it off the graphs only (I gave up and used airflow meter)
