I'm sure she was crying! ( I know I was inside!)
Discussion
My personal circumstances have changed recently, so after 10 months of TVR ownership today was my final day with the T350.
Starting her up this morning, i'm sure she knew what was happening - she threw a little tantrum stalling twice, refusing to leave the garage. Once I got her going though she gave in and rewarded me with one final fantastic drive, 250 miles up north to pick up my replacement car. As I drove away, she looked so sad and rejected, but needs must and I know it's for the best.
How a car can evoke so much passion and lust from a human is beyond me, and I know that I will HAVE to have another in a few years time!
Nothing on the road even comes close to how special these cars are. Yes at times I have wanted to burn the
ing thing, but on the whole (it really is a love/hate relationship), the ownership experience has been magical. People stopping in the streets taking photos, to not being able to get away from petrol stations from people asking about it, tracking it, and also simply enjoy her beautiful curves!
Thanks to all on here who have helped me over the past 10 months, and If the new owner (whoever it maybe), should turn up here, feel free to contact me and let me know how she is!
Cheers
Kevin

Sorry to hear that you had to sell your T350 Kevin. You were looking for one at the same time as me last year. I know exactly what you mean about the ownership experience! Unfortunately I only got a couple of months out of mine before it broke
I'm now finally getting the car fixed and should have it back soon (it has been 10 months since I last saw the car!), I hope I can afford to keep it for some time to come!
Good choice for a replacement car Kevin. You can get quite a bit out of the VX220 Turbo for very little money.

better engine? its heavier than a lotus, it doesn't have the same handling.
so it can't be a lotus, it was just made at hethel.
Bollocks - a 111R with aircon and leccy windows weighs about a knats whisker less than a VX Turbo
Granted it doesn't handle as well as a 111R but that can be sorted Oh and care to comment on the Europa then?
Anyway, congrats on the purchase, they are great little cars - get a stage 2 on it and it's
quick as well. Just try to avoid the badge snobs
I'm not going to get ino the whole VX v Elise argument, as there is no concrete answer. All I will say is the following:
If you were Lotus, you wouldn't let a rival manufacturer have your best bits would you!, therfore the VX will always be inferior in some aspects, and better in others due to it being different.
The VX is built by Lotus using many major Lotus parts such as the chassis (from the Elise) and the L850 ECOTEC engine found in the 2.2 n/a (The 2.0 Turbo is GM's own engine) was also designed by Lotus. The car is even known as the "Lotus type 116" within Lotus but it benefited from enormous development input from GM.
The VX220 is not just a re-badged Elise - considering the VX220 shares only 114 parts with the Elise S2, it does offer a very similar driving experience, but this is more due to the developers of the car rather than the parts shared. Gavan Kershaw of Lotus developed the ride and handling of the VX, as he did with the Elise and Exige.
Both cars offer incredible handling, braking and feedback, but the VX has a less frenetic drive train and a more neutral steering default than the Elise. EVO magazine said at the time of the VX's release that the Elise is Mike Tyson, while the VX220 is “..Lennox Lewis – just as hard hitting and effective, but more composed and cooler”.
At the end of the day, I needed something sub £20k, that would keep me amused and was reliable(sub £20k on an Elise would only get a K-series engine which are prone to problems like head gasket failure etc), and the VXT fitted the bill. I'm not a hardened tracker, so any advantage of the Elise won't even recognised by me due to it being so marginal.
I'm happy with what I have and zipping around in it over the past few days, I think I made the right choice for the money.
Cheers
