ish! Am thinking of buying a Canon EOS D30. Anyone know if this is good enough for general purpose use?

It's good enough for professional use...let alone general use!

What do you mean...old or new? They've only been out a few weeks!

The original D30 was Canon's first ever in-house designed DSLR. I use one and whilst being a step up from a compact, it has its limitations. As mentioned the autoficus is slower than a herd of toroises in peanut butter, and there must be a speed camera on the data path to the CF card. Apart from that, it's perfectly acceptable. For £100 you really can't go wrong.

Was thinking 30D as opposed to D30.
