Whether you're a Rossi fan or not, watching his bike die was so painful. Absolutely gutting. I actually thought he was going to do it, with a 3.7sec lead and gaining 0.9sec every lap, who wouldn't?

I imagine he's stabbing things right now.

Great race though - you don't get that much excitement in a whole season of F1!

You cant write Rossi off, with the new chassis he was off into the distance, although 43 points is a big gap to make up.

Good thing is it will keep the chapionship exciting.

Got home at 0100hrs after a horrendous rain washed slog home through france.

Alpinestrars GPS3 boots arent Waterproof, but.. the SMX Gore Tex ones are.......

The 250 race finished well, and we were right on the spot to see the last corner scrap.

I was gutted for Rossi. He really is a genius on a bike. Edwards was al;so stoprming through the field.

Need to watrch it back on TV later to find out everything.

When Rossi's bike went bang, the silence of the frence crowd was amazing. They ADORE HIM and Biaggi ??

After Rossi punted various riders off the track on the opening lap, I wonder if he regrets having a go at Tony Elias for exactly the same over exuberance earlier in the season.

Made me chuckle anyway, no wonder he kept his lid on and ran away to his motorhome.

For the record , I think it's great when racers give their all, there's far too many play the percentages .

Bit harsh a judgement though. He was a bit off line, got his front wheel clipped and barged into Depuniet (or however it's spelt!) as a result. Had his wheel not been clipped he'd have made the turn and not run into anyone imo.

Great race, gutted for Rossi though. Even if he won every race left it's a big ask.

I think rossi is still in with a chance because there hasn't been another rider consistantly winning while he's been having bad luck. Take Pedrosa for example if he hadn't crashed out of that race (shanghai?) then it could've been a different story.

Also if Rossi didn't win this year I would like to see one of the americans win it or maybe Capirossi but I would NOT like to see Pedrosa win it.I think he reminds me too much of formula one drivers. The Americans however semm to be full of enthusiasm and character.

Pretty much every rider apart from Pedrosa seems to have a personality - especially Hayden and Stoner. I remember seeing Stoner in interview after a 250 race and where all the other riders were complaining about their bikes/tyres/other riders/mechanics, Stoner just said; "I was feeling a bit groggy and I've got a sore arse."

I was gutted for Hopper, and i would love to see him win a race this year.

The season's been open so far, so it should be possible.

Looked to me like he overcooked it and had to take evasive action to avoid the rear end of Danny P.

I've not seen the reason for the failure (electrics rather than mechanical?) but building a bike at such short notice with a brand new chassis, and therefore presumably little or no testing does have its risks. As I've said before, I think his head is somewhere else, although that would not appear to be with the Dancing Donkeys now.

Any bets on whether JB will turn up at Mugello with TWO shiners?

I only watched this last night, and didn't even think Rossi touched De..Depu...Depuni...whatever. Rossi ran well wide and "the other bloke" had to take avoiding action..... Although I'm no expert you understand.

Anyone know what happened to the bike...Any announcements yet?

ps - The Hopkins incident.....Just goes to show doesn't it, the very fine line these guys ride on...A tiny, tiny "issue" on speed, lines or whatever it was, is enough to drop it...

from where i saw it the honda cut across rossi so he had to pull it up a bit and went of line putting the other two of the track. just an unfortunate racing incident

We were there as well Robbo. Came back Monday and ride was horrendous with the wind and rain. Racing was fantastic - R1_JON got some great photos and short video clips, including a crash with one of the 125 riders coming off entering the start-finish straight.

Do feel for Rossi. We were stood by his motorhome when he came back into the paddock and he was VERY annoyed!
