Seat belt jammed
Discussion
Hi,
Just got my car back after a full engine strip & rebuild.. It drives really well.
15 miles later... The drivers side seat belt has given up (jammed)..
Is it a fairly easy DIY job to get a new one and fit it?
If so, where shall I turn to to get one?
If not, I'd like to get an idea of the cost .. Anyone had this changed resently?

Daft question, but I assume you've tried parking on nil gradient & coaxing it out?
Not exactly sure what you mean by "nil gradient" but coaxing it out .. yes, for about 20 minutes in various angles.
They can be very sensitive to hills. A slight slope can make extending the belt tricky. Yours looks more serious though.
Seriously, before trying open belt surgery, try parking it on an up incline and coaxing the belt, down incline, then totally flat and repeating - pushing the barrel around as far as it will go - eventually it will release and then won't do it again for another 6 weeks - until you're in a real hurry! All part of the fun of ownership!
