griff that doesnt like the damp

I have had my griff 500 four years now,and until just lately its never been a problem.This is how it is I have just had a full 12000 mls service,new coil,new leads,new cap,and plugs.I can go to the car when its not been raining and it will start no probs,yes its garaged,if I leave the car in the garage and it rains and dont start the car and leave it two days with out starting it ,not for love or money will it go with out keep trying it and after about eight turns it might go.Once it has been started no probs,but what could it be that makes the car needed to be started every day to be sure it starts ok just because it been raining or been damp . I know you use to get damp probs with the old points and plugs of old but not on a car like a that.Its got now that I dread going to the car and turning the key, anyone any ideas please, I did think of taking it to tvr power for the use of the rolling road to see if they could pick up anything that might effect the cars electrical system , that might be breaking down and cant be picked up with out the right equipment.?does anyone else suffer the same fate as me .

Dodgy heat cracked wiring to & from the coil. Look very closely & you'll see lots of minutely exposed sections of wire. Damp = shorts = no go.
