No pizza deliveries tonite Rob??
A valid question, but Sunday is a day of rest (from pizza). Ordered a meal for 4 from Dominoes on friday, and had pizza for breakfast and lunch on saturday
I ended up giving in and eating the last slice on Saturday night which I was trying to save to photograph on Sunday

you still are suffering from a colour cast by the look of the first one..
also I don't know which lens you are using.. but try a longer focal length.. when we shoot products or food we tend to use a 120mm or a 150mm that way you won't get the distortion that the first shot suffers from. you will also get a more pleasant fall off with the dof. you can shoot at f11 and get razor sharp detail and enough falloff to make it work.
the lighting looks a little drab as well.. try focusing a light across it to give it more depth and a hint of wow factor.. you can use a homemade snoot just to lift some areas.. something we always do is generally light the scene, then using grids or snoots get into the detail so you can pick out highlights, glints etc.. it makes it look more appertising.. that last one looks like two turds and a week old lemon..
you are heading in the right direction.. just needs some fine tuning.. hope that helps..

The third one is horribly composed I know - the subject was supposed to be the kebab.

Number 4 looks like it should be titled "Ate it then made this"
