First LHD Sagaris leaves TVR

Car for Dutch customer: pictures

TVR has made the first LHD Sagaris. It left the factory on Friday and is currently en route to the customer in Holland.

If you had any doubts that TVR is serious about conquering Europe, lay them to rest now.

Jolly dash clever of them to stand it in front of a big mirror to moke it look like LHD.

A couple of things:

1) It's UK registered and doesn't have the helmet roof hump
2) The accelerator pedal is on the right too (so no mirrors)

What's going on?

I wish TVR every success in conquering Europe.
We all know that TVR could do with some good press right now.

I suspect they will have to sell considerably more than
one car to do so, however.

Would ten do it ?

If you look at the interior picture, you'll notice that the tax disc holder says 'TVR' on it, the correct way 'round too. On the 'negative' image, the writing on the tax disc is backwards.

Plus you can just make out the 'S' of Sagaris on the kick plate (if that's what it's called).

Guys... this was a joke by Tony - obviously a very clever one as it's caused a thread of 5 or 6 replies

Why no anthracite wheels - much better IMO with Chameleon Orange.

It's interesting because it suggests there is a lot of stuff going on in the background at TVR, and not just a load of blokes hanging around waiting for the receivers to come knocking. I know one swallow doesn't make a summer, but it is indicative that Smolenski is thinking long term about actually making TVR a bigger company, and this must surely represent part of his development strategy?

Well said Nubbin.
As I said in another thread last week, let's try to fly the TVR flag - not burn it:

The guy is also a Pistonheader! Think I saw him post in the LeMans forum over the weekend so it really is a LHD car if there was any serious doubt!

. . . the production shows things more clearly. Pretty empty for a carshop.

What happens if it breaks down? Or if parts are needed? Does TVR have specialists abroad?

With this car it is extremely important to keep 'Oranje boven'!
